Janatics ASC0161 Pneumatic Silencer is part of the Janatics AS Series of silencers and is designed for mounting on pneumatic exhaust ports.
During operation of pneumatic valves and actuators, compressed air released through the exhaust port can generate significant noise. The ASC0161 helps reduce this exhaust-air noise while also limiting dust entry through the open exhaust port. Janatics describes the conical-hexagon design as a conical sintered bronze filter element fitted to a hexagonal brass base.
The ASC0161 corresponds to the 1/4" size, and Janatics documentation shows it used with G1/4 exhaust ports.
