Autonics BRQ through-beam side-sensing photoelectric sensors are M18 cylindrical industrial sensors designed for opposed emitter/receiver installation in machine automation, conveyor systems, packaging equipment, and non-contact object detection applications. This BRQ group is dedicated to through-beam sensing, the longest-range sensing method within the BRQ family.
The series is available in 10 m and 20 m sensing range options, with dedicated emitter units and matching receiver units. Receiver variants are available in NPN open collector and PNP open collector output versions, while both cable type and M12 4-pin connector type models are offered for installation flexibility.
Through-beam sensing is ideal for stable object interruption detection over long distances where separate mounting of emitter and receiver is possible. It is best suited for opaque targets and applications requiring higher sensing margin than reflective sensing methods.
